Welcome to our online confectionary shop! We offer delicious cakes for all occasions, but to ensure a smooth experience, please read the following terms and conditions carefully before placing your order.
Application of these Conditions
These Conditions apply to use of this website and are the Terms and Conditions on which we will supply any of the products to you and by proceeding further and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the Conditions. If you do not agree to be bound by them, you should leave this Website now.
When using the website, you accept that communication with us will be mainly electronic. We will contact you by email or provide you with information by posting notices on the website. For contractual purposes, you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts, notices, information and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
You may obtain further information about your statutory rights by contacting your local authority Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advice Bureau.
Collection:
- Collection Points: Currently, we only offer cake collection at our designated delivery points. You will be able to choose your preferred point during checkout. If for some reason we are unable to deliver to your chosen point we will suggest the nearest alternative.
- Collection Time: We cannot guarantee the availability of a cake until a specific collection time is confirmed. Please check the exact date and time your cake will be ready for collection before picking it up.
- Collection Slot: Your cake will be held for a maximum of 24 hours after the designated collection time. Please ensure you collect your cake within this timeframe.
- Shop Opening Times: It’s important to check our shop opening hours before planning your collection. We cannot guarantee cake availability outside of operating hours.
Cake Care:
- We are not responsible for the appearance of the cake after collection.
- Transport: Always transport your cake on a flat surface in a vehicle with air conditioning or heating as needed.
- Storage: Store your cake in the refrigerator at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C (35°F and 41°F).
- Consumption: For optimal freshness, consume your cake within two days of collection.
Handling:
- Cake Packaging: Your cake will be presented on a special tray and placed inside a sturdy box. Always hold the box from the bottom to avoid damaging the cake.
Allergens:
- Allergen Information: We recommend checking our allergen list on the website before placing your order.
- Contact Us for Allergies: If you have any allergies, please contact us before ordering. Due to personalization, decorations may contain any allergen. Additionally, trace amounts of allergens may be present due to shared equipment.
Cake Variations:
- Slight Variations: Cakes may vary slightly from the pictures displayed on our website. Colors, toppers, and fruits may differ due to seasonality and availability.
- Inedible Decorations: Some decorative elements, such as cake toppers, flowers, support sticks, and wires, are not edible. Please remove them before consumption.
Cancellation Policy:
- Standard Cakes: You can cancel your standard cake order without any cost up to 5 days before the collection date.
- Wedding Cakes: We require a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice for cancellation of wedding cake orders without any cost.
- Cancellation Fees: Cancellations made with less notice may incur a fee:
- Standard Cakes: 50% of the total cost if cancelled within 2 days of collection.
- Wedding Cakes: 50% of the total cost if cancelled within 5 days of collection.
- Standard Cakes: Full cost if cancelled within 48 hours of collection.
- Wedding Cakes: Full cost if cancelled within less than 5 days of collection.
We reserve the right to cancel your order at any time up to 4 working days before collection. In this case, we will attempt to find a similar cake from another patisserie and cover the cost, subject to your agreement. If this is not possible or you decline the alternative, we will provide a full refund within 7 days.
Damaged Cakes:
- We are not responsible for damage to cakes that occurs after collection.If damage occurs to your cake before collection, we will offer you a solution depending on the severity:
- Partial Refund: A partial refund adjusted to the extent of the damage.
- Full Refund: A full refund if the damage is significant.
- Replacement Cake (if time allows): We will attempt to create a new cake for you, subject to time constraints.
Complaints:
- Please report any complaints regarding your cake order via email within a reasonable timeframe, including supporting photos where possible. We will aim to respond within 5 working days.
Force Majeure:
We will not be held responsible for delays or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as road accidents or extreme weather events, which may prevent us from fulfilling your order on time.
Additional Terms & Conditions:
Changes
We may change these Conditions from time to time without notice to you. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received. It is your responsibility to check regularly to see if any changes have been made to these Conditions. We reserve the right to modify or withdraw this website at any time without liability to you.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password chosen by you when you register on the website and for restricting access to your computer and/or email address to prevent unauthorised access to your account.
Description and Availability
We take all reasonable measures to ensure that details, measurements, and descriptions of products given on this website are as accurate and complete as possible but there may be variations between these and the products themselves. All products are subject to availability. In the event products are unavailable they will be cancelled from your order and you will receive a refund.
Placing an Order
You must not order products via this website if you are younger than 18 years of age. All orders are subject to acceptance by us and are subject to availability. After placing an order, you will receive an email from us acknowledging that we have received your order. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a product. All orders are subject to acceptance by us and we will confirm such acceptance by sending you an email that confirms that the product will be made. The contract between us will only be formed when we send you the second confirmation.
Where, in our reasonable judgment, we believe that there is an error, we will be entitled to cancel your order and refund your payment. Where the error is noticed before the order is dispatched, we will use all reasonable endeavours to inform you and allow you to choose whether to re-place the order at the correct price or to have your order refunded.
